may i seek the help of all teachers or people who are aware?
i understand that being a teacher has to sign a contract with moe for the bond and may i check whether are we allowed to take up part time degree while we are serving the bond?
the agreement was stated that we're not allowed to take up any part time studies during our teacher-training but did not state for the bond.
and let's say if i would like to start an entrepreneurship during my bond but i'm still teaching at the same time while i employ others to tend my shop, am i allowed to do so? does it counts as against the law for having 2 jobs?
get an answer liddat is akin to finding a needle in a haystack. why dun ask the HR direct? ![]()
do anything you want but dont get caught. And most likely you wont get caught anyway. Pple dont give a fcuk what you are doing. But dont let the students or their parents caught you working somewhere else.

Start a business, use your wife's/mother's/father's/brother's/sister's name... lol
I am not a teacher by profession. Just curious as to why are you taking up the part-time degree course since you already decided on teaching as a profession?
imagine one of ur kids say "mummy let's go jurong east pasar malam. my fren say teacher ramly burger very nice. can get discount somemore."
so a teacher cannot start a business elsewhere?

well because being a teacher is my dream but so is being an entrepreneur and i would like to take up part time degree for the moment first 'cos i want to tend my own shop when i'm old or retired. as you know, it's better for us to study while we are young. at least that's what i feel. (:

As for studying part time, eg. masters degree, you need to apply for permission from MOE to do so.
Welcome to the MOE family.
wow, you're a teacher? what if it's a family business and we're just helping out every weekend without drawing any salary?
may i know under what circumstances would moe approve us on studying part-time?

big private companies also have their rules and regulations la.
most public organisations also dont allow you to start up another job. This is not just confined to teachers la i think.

MOE, is a ministry, and a ministry belongs to the government, they won't allow a public servant to moonlight.
