recently met an IFA from First Principle Financial and after a few meetings I plan to invest some of my savings. Before I proceed does anyone here have any experience with them?
Independent advisor.. as in you pay him a fee for his advise ?
Or is he tied to a financial/insurance company ? So he sells his company's financial products to you ?
Many insurance agents also claim to be financial advisors.. so buyers beware.

I dun think theres any fees, hes like an insurance agent except he sells many diff policies from many diff insurance companies ,he claim he can represent almost all those companies except prudential and great eastern life(I think). Basically he analise ur financial situation including all other poilicies u bought from other insurance companies, from there he would suggest/recommand what sort of cover or policies u need the most (he said he chose the best ones) . I guess he prob earns the comissions. They also deals with units trusts ,bond, equitities for investments, they monitored all those funds and select some of the best that perform consistantly for investments.
