old english cottage in ubin?

  Chek Jawa there. From reception hut, turn right (opposite direction from watch tower)

  thanks! but chek jawa before we go, must make booking with the NParks office in ubin is it?

  i think the entrance to chek jawa is blocked by a "Stop" sign and some long gates....can we just cycle into it without permission, and when caught, just act blur?

  i'll be going ubin this sunday with my 1 GB camera and can upload photos here for everyone. that's about 550 - 600 pics.

  it's at the south eastern corner of the island(if I never remember wrongly). not on map. when I went there it was fenced up. but I did took pictures.. :D quite nice.

  1. You don't have to. It's open during daylight hours. I think you should worry more about whether it'll rain or not. 2. Yes, you're right – you can't cycle beyond the STOP sign. But, there's nothing to worry about. The only way there is to cycle there, park your bicycle at the stands provided then walk into the area beyond the STOP sign. It's a 2-minute walk to the reception building. 3. Thanks. We don't really need so many pictures. :o

  Yup. Probably not on the maps still, just a huge area labelled Chek Jawa. Now the house is open to public with an aquarium and public exhibits on the history of the cottage house.

  but chek jawa dangerous anot? like if i go there alone, anything need to watch out for? like sudden tides etc.? also, if we walk on the sands, any dangerous sea animals like sea urchins etc?

  also, i think i will post all my pics here.....german girl shrine and everything.....if got chicks in wet t-shirts, will also post them here. :D

  if u're only going to the watch tower and cottage house, there isn't really any wildlife to speak of. if u wan to venture into the sand, just take the usual precautions. find out more from the reception.

  try to go before reach chek jawa around 9.30 - 10.30 lowest tide!
