  hi guys,

      If I'm to write and publish my own book in singapore, what's the chances of success?Any people who are in the publishing biz able to give me some frdly advice is appreciated..

  It's more of a sense of accomplishment than money since market for asian writers for English literature is small unless you're a big name

  I used to write fantasy Dungeons and dragons style plots when I was a kid....it inspired me to get back to my childhood hobby in writing

  well its fun to write our own books, but realistically, hard to make a career out of it. but if ur good and serious abt, i guess u shud get urself known in the local literary scene and build up a rep. and then after that...i dont see why not.

  i think yr books can sell to kids only or maybe those banglas at construction sai. when the board approve u get yr book publishe tel me i sure waste a few doors to buy one. if u bk need illustrator tell me, i charge 50cents per illustarion page wide and hieght

  Publish elsewhere if u want.

   

  If you want to, dont show others your writings or ideas before copyrighted. Singapore dont practice "as long as u can prove you're the first, you automatically wins copyright" thing.

  even in other countries, self-publishing is not easy and the number of starving writers is more than the number of writers who even managed to get their books out there.
