When u start work and you earn enough to feed yourself.
who would refuse free money
even in NS drawing a monthly allowance of $350-500 in the two years, my mom still gives me pocket money from time to time, like $20 in a fortnight just to help tide over with expenditures..
depending on what you take in uni, some have 2-day work week while some are clearly 5-day, 8am-5pm work week.... see what you wanna work as lor..
i'll stop when i get my first job?

i like your answer. can save mah...
i think it depends on case to case basis ba... if u wan to be independent then you can refuse pocket money...
And also depends on family fianacial situation? if ur family is well-to-do, i think ur parent will still give you even if your work part-time.
can chop, chop first, keep it for them, later when they old and ask from you, you return it lor
In the end. when u start working. you will oso give money to your parents wat..

i think he most probably end up having to ask from his old folks. Sad
$150 per month is not quite enough. You probably need to spent $70 per month on transport. leaving you with just $80 per month which is not enough for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Wa lao.
I survived without pocket $$. Enjoying a bit of financial independance now.
it depends on individual.
if you're the type which can get good results in studies..
just focus on studies..
don't worry about income etc.
if u come from a poor/below average income family..
than try to work and learn part time and full time respecitvely..
it might be hard, but if u can do it and complete ur studies, u will be able to cope with a lot of pressure before u know it and be very discipline at the end of the graduation.
my dad's thinking is that i should not think about working and just concentrate on my studies. he'll take care of the pocket money and other stuff.
my responsibility is to study well. which i agree also.
maybe you try to reduce your pocket money taken from them first and work a little.
