the first time I asked for a date ... I failed miserably. The guy rejected me. But I can only say that if you be sincere and ask if the person wanna spend time together in an activity, should be ok.

First date cannot watch movie de, 2 hours sitting down staring at a big screen, no talking or any other form of interaction. What if the movie's bad? It'll worsen the date lo, dinner no need go those ex one or buy any flowers, she'll think u're 'buying' her attention.
Go shopping or just sit down for a coffee, and the way to ask: "There's this cafe in town that I wanna check out which offers great ice-blends, you should come with me." Or, "I'll bring you to some place fun this weekend, it'd be sad if you couldn't make it"
