  The Vagina Monologues 《阴�独白》
  Hailed by The New York Times as "funny" and "poignant" and by the Daily News as "intelligent" and "courageous, The Vagina Monologues, an award-winning theatrical classic, will be completely staged in Cantonese and performed in Singapore for the first time this July. Adapted from Eve Ensler's daring masterpiece, this Cantonese version promises to be an intimate, no-holds-barred performance that explicitly explores women's repression, individuality and empowerment through their sex and sexuality, with the vagina as the focal point. Featuring a kaleidoscope of monologues from women of all backgrounds, the play is funny, sad, poignant and uplifting at the same time, giving us a peek into a very personal and powerful world, at once conflicting and controversial, of what it means to be female.
  
  Produced and directed by show business veteran Ko Chi Sum with Hong Kong's critically acclaimed stage actress Perry Chiu in the leading role, The Vagina Monologues in Cantonese will be a brand new experience with the added Asian perspective and voice while retaining its international appeal. The play, when staged in Hong Kong in 2007, enjoyed three sold-out runs.
