i used to drink coffee daily when i was in secondary school, however now i only drink it once a week or so in order not to depend on caffeine too much. cos i tot that my headaches come from caffeine though.
Coffee could be the cause of your headaches too. I used to drink alot last time, when I stopped suddenly I get headaches. When I consume coffee while having a headache, it eases the pain, it could be withdrawal symptoms.
Also try moving away from your monitor screen by 30cm. You are sitting too close (5cm) from your monitor!
Take up regular exercise/sports.
Yeah, my post won't help. But cummulatively.....
acupuncture. Its slow but it works.

Oh, sinus do affect headache lor, it start from the nose nerve all the way up, i think there are excessive fluid in those pocket of your brain, nose and eye bags, you need to go for an operation to flush out all these fluid, it is causing inflamation and heaviness to your nerve that cause the pain and headache.
U cannot go swimming and also try not to stay in air con enviroment too long.

No, if u do a handstand everyday for 5 minutes, it allow the blood to pull into your brain and help to nourish it, after all, most of the time we are standing up where most blood drain toward our legs more than the brain

i have tried the 100plus remedy, it worked for me for the first time, but after that everytime i consume it, my headache just make me vomit it all out so it didn't work for me after that ler.
and i'm currently relying on 2 tablets of panadol extra. taking it like 3-4 times a week maximum.
sorry to hear the 100 plus dont work
i dun have any other remedies as the 100 plus thing always work for me

yes...sinus is also one cause of headache between the eyes and sides of head.....need to drain the excess fluids ![]()
My best treatment for myself; when I have something similar to migraine* is
1.cover your eyes with a dark / thick cloth as LIGHT REDUCTION helps (at least for me). In the process I also feel relaxed; don't know which has the greater effect. But the results is more important- the rest is not important.
2.At other time ACUPRESSURE like this: press your left thumb into the part between your right hand's V-shape portion between your thumb and index finger. Feel for the part where it is slightly "electrical" - like a slight vibration when you depress (how to say it...) then hold on that for a minute or each time, do that till you feel better. My own TCM ;-) but it always works.
* similar to migraine: I get a slight distortion of vision before a slight headache the next day, mostly no headache the next day. I associate this with a migrine that never materialised. My own analysis and it works fine !

hmm. regarding about the sinus issue i seriously think that cannot be avoided. cos i'm borned with it. since young i have tolerated that.. so if that's the main cause of my migraines, i suppose i cannot get rid of the " cause " but have to reduce the pain of the " effect "
hey i think ur idea might work. about finding the part to apply pressure, i always cannot find it. cos when i'm having migraines i will keep pressing hard onto my skull area so as to ease the pain but to no avail. i wonder if there's a trick to finding the actual spot?
sinus can be cured, in most cases
.....seek permanent help.
Sorry for long delay in reply.
Please see the attached link for the point that seems to work.

migraines are usually cause by stress or poor sitting position like long hours at computer. putting some muscle strain on your spine and shoulder blades. that's what they will tell you at TCM.
Try changing your habits abit. Get more execise. Eating medication is not a long term solution. Changing life style habit is.
Sinus can be solve by surgery now. Fast and almost painless. Not too expensive. Considered a day op now.
my colleague have severe migrains...she take chinese pills...she say it is very good.
if you wana try..i think you can go to chinese medical hall, they should have..
The most easiest way is to stay stress free. well that is easier said than done.
i dont have migraines myself but someone close to me does, and i always observe that they come only when she gets damn stressed up and frustrated.
sleep more rest more relax more.
Enjoy life!!!!!!!!

i've had migraines ever since the beginning of secondary school till now.
I know it's extremely common for young people to experience severe migraines.
Although i always resort to popping panadols to numb the pain, the effect of panadols on my organs will be dangerous for long term.
Therefore i would like to seek out some remedies that u guys have for curing severe migraines.
help me solve my migraine problem!
P.S i always have migraines at my temples, around the eye nerves too.
Don't take panadol to ease the pain...it's effective no doubt but I heard they are not good for your liver.
Try drinking some isotonic drinks instead, like H2O or 100Plus or Pocari Sweat as an alternative to ease the pain. The effect of course won't be as fast as panadol, but it's safer anyway.
Think we experienced headache or any form of muscular pain is due to insufficient oxygen supply in our blood stream entering those areas. So that's probably why isotonic drinks works well to provide the same relieve.
Try it, it works for me. :)
I heard or read, sex helps.
when i had migraine i'll go to TCM room in the office to prescribe own medicine ![]()
all the boxes got indicate wat the cure for so we roughly know how to mix those medicine for our illness
try to cut down on western medicine as it seems more harmful to the liver ![]()
TCM medicine mostly cure slower but it's a herb which helps in the long run
