Why do Singaporean hate Malaysians ?

I'm a Malaysian myself, and I dislike my own country, and the cause is only one. The government. Nothing else.
I may be born in Malaysia, but Singapore is a place where I truly grew up.

I dont hate malaysians as much as I hate imports from elsewhere, esp those that sit on grass. In fact I dont hate malaysians at all. I got many malaysian friends. I treat them like they are also singaporeans. Hehe.

I do not hate M'sians. In fact, most of my friends here are M'sians.

TS, I don't hate Malaysians. On the contrary, I find many Malaysian pleasant to work with and make friends with.

I don't hate Malaysians too. They're nice people. Well, I believe many Singaporeans have relatives in Malaysia too. Nice, friendly and warm. :)

But I don understand why malaysians thinks all singaporeans are very rich.
When I was a poor student, I went for a very cheap trip to that island off Muar.
Then one malaysian guy come tok to me.. the first thing out of his mouth after knowing where I come from is " Oh. Singaporean very rich ".

i have a lot of malaysian friends, no, i dun hate them...in fact we welcome them , just like the banglas, indians and PRCs..so long they keep in line with their lives and dun take over our jobs before they are fully immensed in our society...

actually, I think Malaysians are quite similiar to Singaporeans, in that we share almost the same history, culture and the people.
maybe at the people level, we don't see it much. but at the higher political level, it may be more interesting.
