With regards to your first paragraph, the thunderstorm really did happen. Everyone in the whole world outside the stadium was cut off from the live feed. If you don't want to trust the local media on this, try going to other sources like BBC - that was where I first learnt about the worldwide cutoff.
If Starhub is to be blamed, then it is because they didn't have backup plans like having a panel of football pundits to discuss the game. Otherwise, we can't be blaming Starhub for the weather in Europe, no?

my starhub digital set-top also kena burnt. got a replacement for free
the starhub technician say the digital set-top box is not as good as the analogue one cos it overheats easily
just call starhub for a replacement box. usually they'll just give it for free in 2-3 days time. no need to be so drama...

Wha! vienna had storm and lighning and our star hub set up box get burnt, wow! that is serious hor. But howcome when china had earthquake and mynmar had cyclone, our set up box still ok leh?
