I would like to ask how much is a root canal procedure cost for national dental care center?
the quote i got from a pecialist is 900 for root canal procedure + 500 for crowning
i had one in a private clinic at around 300 - 400 for root canal. but it cost much more for crowning.
$800-$1000 for root canal treatment (approx. $400) and crowning(approx.$400), excluding x-rays, which is $20 per x-ray. Some dentists charge 150 per root canal. Some teeth have up to 4 roots.
Don't be conned by "specialists'.
it what way conned?
this was recommended by my dentist at ntuc dental care

Then you accept his/her recommendation lor...ask second opinion for what?
Abt $600++ the last time I was asked to get one.
I delayed..and delayed..and delayed...
and now my tooth is dead. The nerves & roots all died out. No more pain liao.
Go get it done in the Faculty of Dentistry of NUS.
Some students there are willing to do it for you free-of-charge!

at ur own risk!
U might want to try 1 in Jurong East/ directly opp Chinese Garden MRT, I had done mine, the big tooth at the back. It cost me total of 1K (Root canel + crown). Had been asking around and normally it cost 1.5K. So I guess it at the low side. Plus till date no problem with it. Sorry cannot remember the name.
i wont wanna choose the second opinion from my dentist, which is to extract...
dont wanna take risk from students also hahahah.....
governemnt or private better or cheaper, the centre i was refered to is at wheelock
i extracted mine. most of the dentist here don't 100% disinfect the tooth after root canal before permanently covering it up. when there are some bacteria still leftover inside your dead tooth, it will grow over time and gradually release deadly toxins into your blood stream that will do harm to your internal organs. the tooth structure also will weaken over time. having a crown protects only the tooth surface but not the sides which are still vulnerable to decay and gum infection. i thus decided to have it extracted and the dead tooth really smells foul terribly. it's been disinfected and now's a personal artefact.
can still live without the tooth. if i want a tooth replacement, can fit an artificial tooth later on.
to be safe.....extract everything *remove denture & brush admirably*
