you can just poweroff the modem when ure not using the net, thats what i do.. my phone still working. =_=
that's why, my modem is problematic, 2nd 2 wire since the i change to mio, the reason to turn on the modem 24/7 is becos mio voice uses VoIP, voice over internet protocol. we call for free, and receive call for free, cos all use data from the bandwidth itself
