How many times you balloted for your flat before you got it?

I've had friends who tried 7-8 times, then finally got. Some gave up bought resale, some bought condo..

How many times did you have to pay the $10 before you got your flat, or you just gave up?

Private freehold or 99 years leasing?? for us, private, just buy and live, no balloting, as for those 99 years leasing, yes, there is only 1 time balloting exercise. All buyers or their representatives must be present, otherwise, you may loose out on the house or apartment you want.
