just a question, when parents divorce, at what age can the child make his/her own decision? and is it possible that he/she does not follow either one of the parents? say, go with another sibling of legal age or a relative?

Not possible for the child to make his/her own decision who to follow if they are under 21 of age.
Relative only has the right to become a legal guardian only if both parents became deceased due to unfortunate circumstances.
Best not to divorce.
