TS, u need this thing called situation awareness and may wanna lower your expectations on people.
People usually dun gossip about you provided you had done something to make them dislike you but I'm not suggesting that you try your best to please them. Dun particularly join them for gossiping, dun gossip, when everyone is critising someone, just smile and dun say anything, dun disagree. I'm sure in any workplace there are people like that. I'm not saying this people wun get stabbed, they will still once in a while. But at least, the others dun particular gang up to purposefully stab u.
I think life in school, and our TV/movie media had given alot of people unrealistic expectations on people. You may wanna lower that.

Between keyboard and chair means the author (myself).Maybe I shouldn't have any expectations of others. Maybe I shouldn't have been too trusting to ppl.

Why do you have to limit yourself because of what had happened in the past ?

Discern your friends and associate with the wise.
Learn to forgive the people who have let you down, rather than holding onto those emotion.

Agreed, but most of the ppl I met are no good.Only very few are really those who are helpful and kind-hearted.

true. not much are really kind-hearted. many do things that benefits them. just like the chinese saying “人ä¸�为自，天诛地ç�。”
it's a vicious cycle. We just can't get out of the cycle.
