The latter would rather be all-knowing, even if there's nothing they can do to change their destinies.
While there's a romantic notion to the former, I'd still choose to be all-knowing. Heck, if I know I'm gonna be beggar when I'm 35, then even if I can't change my destiny - I still can save many years of precious time by not partaking in the rat race.
It's just too bad God (Whatever you percieve God to be) doesn't allow us to choose.
My sentiments exactly.
Not knowing means not being able to plan your life optimally.
If I know that I am going to be knocked down by a car the minute I walk out of the house, the last thing I would do is spend more time with love ones, rather than die regretfully knowing the last minute I spent was not with them.
Seem like the woman in indiana jones. "I want to know I want to know".

can choose to know, selectively, anot?
i'd made too many mistakes in my life.
No. If you already know everything, then what else is there to learn?
knowing does not neccesarily mean happiness

Ignorance is bliss? Ha!
It's true knowing does not neccesarily mean happines, but I'd still choose to know. Nothing is more unpleasant than disaster that strucks, when you least expected it.

Don't worry, everybody makes mistakes. The past is long gone, and should only serve as a reminder, a lesson.

there is nothing more to learn, it's your final day
not knowing does not necessarily mean happiness too
but not knowing means you could have left lots of things unfinished
could have left a wife with a baby to fend for herself
if you walk along the streets
you know that a brick will fall on you that day
you can't avoid it
but you can take measures to reduce the impact (puns intended) ![]()
like carrying a first aid kit with you,
get a doctor to standby real close,
and wearing a hard hat.
