Calling all musician! Esp. guitar player!
Is it common for guitar neck to be bend at such obvious degree? As in can be tell by looking at the side? ![]()

Is a Hofner bass. Everything is original, other than re-string it myself making it left handed. ![]()
Just would like to ask, is it common for guitar neck to be bend at such degree? Cos is only two weeks old, and I don't think it will be right to send in for servcing so soon. Thanks peeps! ![]()
Oh p.s: Pictures taken with my guitar on the bed, as, I cannot think of anymore appopriate places to lie flat the guitar other than the ground.
Or was it as it is since production or coming out from the factory? Thanks!

As in, is it normal for a guitar neck to be bend like the picture shown above? Pardon me regarding the pictures because my camera is running on low batt. And no one in the family is using camera phone.
Perhaps, take the third photo as an example?
its bent backwards rite?

From the top, bend towards.
should be normal , due the the strings being pulled/tightened
well whenever u store the guitar n not playing for a long time. loosen all the strings n keep in a cool dry place.

I see. Is kinda obvious though.
I play it almost everyday.
seriously from the pics u cant really tell its bent.
did you contact the shop you got it from? see what they say n if they r willing to do n exchange.

I don't think they would wanna exchange, because is formally right-handed, I changed it to left handed to suit my playign style, and unforunatly, they don't sell that guitar (above) in left handed model.
ouch. your in a pretty tight spot. but talk to them lah. they shd b the experts n im sure they will have a remedy for it.
jus like a human illness, get it checked n diagnosed before it gets worse.
Woo, another left hander. But seriously, it's hard to tell there's any bending in the pics. It looks normal enough.
But if you really feel it's bending out of shape, or you ain't getting the tunes out right even after tuning. I suggest you bring it to a shop to check. Re-stringing electric-based guitars is... not really suggested.

Probably I'll send in for a minor servcing within next two weeks, if things starts to get worst. Meanwhile I would probably continue to keep playing with it.

Yes, I understand re-stringing electric-based guitars is not suggested. If things starts to get worst for the next two weeks, I will send it for servcing or repair or something.
Oh nose what happened to your guitar
That's a bass not a guitar. ![]()
Anyway the term for bent neck is called warping,TS maybe you can visit www.soft.com.sg.
There are more pros there!
First of all, a bass is a guitar.
To the TS, some warping can be expected due to the humidity here. I'm not 100% familiar with that model but if it has a truss rod, you should be able to take it into any guitar workshop and have them help straighten it out.
