for example in Ngee Ann City Takashimaya basement where got many foodstalls etc.
Then got those chocolate stalls, cookie stall, dried fruits/nuts/snacks stall selling fancy chocolate by piece or by weight one. like eg. u want 100 grams raisin they scoop n weight for u.
then those staff working there hor, i wonder do they eat the chocolates or cookies or snack themselves (without paying) ? coz u selling chocolates/cookies then will surely like very tempting one, so many tasty treats in front of u. or perhaps tah pow n bring home for family or friends (without paying)
plus its a booth stall in the open place, not in shop, therefore the boss also cant install CCTV Camera. n i dun think its easy to account for the movement for every piece of food item.
then i wonder will the boss loose money or not if the staff eat?
u know of any friends who work in such shop? do they eat the things while on the job or tahpow home? then boss know or not i wonder? -

i had a similar job experience, and yes we did took a few bites and treats here and there. but after 2 to 3 days, we swear never to eat that food again.
if u face the food, for 12 hours a day and 7 days a week, u kinda don't feel like eating it.

I think they will have to pay if items gone missing.
I once heard that they always never hire fat or obese people who are tempted by the food Always see slim or thin people selling them.

I know some places like catering allow their staff to eat the food if they are going to throw away at the end of the day.

They get to eat a bit of those chocolates of course.But you need to note down which chocolates you opened for customers to try out as samples, so cannot anyhow open those chocolates and make ridiculous amount of samples for customers.
Sometimes the supervisor will also come and check on you and check your performance. But got commision based + basic, so it's not that bad.
I used to sell them during my school holidays, especially during Christmas!
