look at oz, everyone are buying things from ebay which cost much cheaper than retail stores, especially electronics goods like laptops ect. Check for yourself:

check for yrself. But why is it in Sg there are so many retail stores?. Retail stores mean we have to pay more to cover costs of the business. Is it just a facade to show the world ours is a thriving city of material wealth?

Oz is bery big, the nearest shopping mall is probably 100km or 1 hr drive away.
not as convenient as us, every damn neighbourhood got a mall......
its perfectly safe and worth to buy in ebay aus cause there are consumer rights in oz. Ebay Oz is regulated the same way as how businesses are regulated in OZ.And paypal is regulated as a bank
Singapore ebay is pathetic and full of scammers out to cheat your $$$. And to afdd to the headeache, paypal and ebay are nor regulated as much as they are done in Oz. So that means they canlock your money in if something goes wrong like for eg. dispute resolution, item cheating ect. Why, no effective laws and regulate online purchasing.
i feel sg ebbay is quite safe too.. atleast till now i haven got scam or anything.. the only thing i'll be afraid is getting fakes goods or poor condition goods.

Ebay is different in different countries. Like in Oz, ebay is governed by the consumer laws of oz. Likewise in sg , it will be the different. But in sg , may i ask who ( is it case?) where u can go to if something of high value u purchased throughh ebay did not get to u?
Considering the amount of China Land scams, it's risky buying anything more than $100. You never know when your seller will run or if your warranty is valid.
I myself am involved in online retailing, business is good but I'm not targetting any groups within Asia.
The price of certain items are cheaper when brought in e-bay.

depends on whom u buy from. Business powersellers who have a registered business are safer.
not just for laptops, in US, online sale of clothes is even bigger than retail store itself, like wat FireIce said, the shopping malls are often too far away
i would if i had a credit card lol...
have got 3 tees from ebay and im satisfied.
anyway, those tees definitely can't be found in sg, so why bother looking
