will it affects my eyesights?

Just checking with you guys, will playing computer in a dark room affects your eyesights?
Lets say i'm now using a 21 inch LCD monitor and i enjoyed playing in the night in a dark room, will my eyesights get affected in the long run?

In theory it will affect ur eyesight
but if u arenot sitting very close to the screen and not straining ur eyes, maybe the damage is not that much
i changed to a 22", was not very use to it, and i strain very often until i got use to it recently
