I've seen SB-spore doing it too...no wonder price going up 21%

AN INTERNATIONAL coffee chain known for its environmentally friendly position has come under fire for wasting millions of litres of water every day by leaving taps running all the time in its outlets, including those in Singapore.
They have to keep that tap running, it's where they put the milk spoon (used to scoop milk foam for your latte and cappuccino), else everybody will have funny tasting milk.
dude.. you know how much more water will be wasted cleaning the utensils each time they use it? ![]()
and if they do it like the kopitiam, by tossing the spoon into a glass of brown water, you'd also be the first to KPKB right? ![]()
anyway, you want to KPKB, don't dilute your cause by sprouting whatever nonsense smashes you in the face... go think about it... then come back with proper things to KPKB about...
btw.. you haven't figured it out yet? the price of crude has got almost nothing to do with the increase in ELECTRICITY costs, since our generators are mostly gas-fired..
why politicize this?

then why govt spokesman/woman say it is price by barrel?
has gas start to store in barrel already? not tank?
mein fuhrer!

No I won't.
I rather they save water as water is scarce in Singapore.

maybe you, but consider the other people who will complain if starbucks re-used dirty water to clean their utensils. also, when i first read the topic, i was thinking starhub lol

Gas price is always tie to oil price and calculation of gas price
is base on heat generation or BTU. So oil price up, gas price up
and vice versa.
Anyway SB must find other better ways to wash their utensils
rather than using running water non stop.

I rather they try to use other methods of keeping the spoons clean than leaving the tap running. I don't know how much water is wasted but it's definitely a copious amount.
Considering the number of outlets they have worldwide.
if need then just press the tap la, need to keep it running meh.

the kopitiam back-alley style?
everything goes into a pail of soapy water
then everything goes into a pail of clean water
then wipe with a rag?
why scared waste water, with global warming now,the ice at antarctic are melting and more water will be coming!

What? They still got wipe nowadays?
each time we wank, 45,000,000 sperms are lost.....and we worried abt losing some waters ![]()
I seen it action, i think coffee bean does it to.
They should have this proximity timer sensor thingie, if the spoon is in, 8 secs max a good flush, and stop.
I think leaving it soaked there with minimum running water isn't as fantastic as they preached.![]()

WTF does water have to do with the price of electricity going up 21%?

those modern sink not very precise also, sometimes have to move your hands about for sometime before the sensor picks up the motion. if they install those, very soon you will see the baristas shadow boxing the sensor instead of making coffee. ![]()
I think install those sensor, end up consuming both electricity and water. Might cost the company more in terms of service and maintenance of the sensor.

I think for the price ppl are paying for a latte there 50 cents more shouldn't be an issue.![]()
