Anyone knows the difference between the pay, benefits and job prospects? I am currently in MOF and at the same time interested in MAS. Need some help with my decisions. Thanks
www.vog.gov.sg is ur answer.
Haha was briefly working in a stat board. spent more time with red tape and office politics than proper job. wasting taxpayers money. it was good pay though.
Dont quote me but I heard the stat boards generally pay better than the ministries. Benefits and prospects I guess would be the same across the govt sector.
I heard stst boards pay better too. But i will like to verify this with an existing employee to be sure. Need advice, thanks
You better have a good honours degree or higher to work in the civil service. Preferably be a scholar.
Otherwise, you won't get promotions and good pay increases relative to those who have the honours degree. Experience doesn't count as much as qualifications.
If you are fine with seeing your younger colleagues leapfrog you in terms of pay and levels, then by all means go work in the civil service.![]()
For all you know, he could be PSC scholar ![]()
I am not scholar lah, if i am then i no need to worry so much about my career liao. ![]()
Anyone with experience in working for both stat board and ministry before? Care to share your experience? Thanks
no diff
trust me
...and the same applies for them so-called corporatised ![]()
