If everybody hoard money and don't spend it, the gahmen have to print more money. If they print more, how much you think the hoarded amount will depreciated to?
Eventually, "Cost of living" goes up because value of money drop.
Spending money is not a sin. Spending what you do not have, *debting* is.

i guess it's the save for a rainy day mentality i grew up with. still, a hard line to draw.
i think the best line is.. when you're rich, know how to live rich, but when you're poor, also learn how to live poor.
Well, even if you are poor, spend on what you Need to spend on, even though its good to save. If a rainy day comes, chances are, the meager savings that you have won't cover for it anyway.

One thing I know for sure, if a guy cannot afford to get a MINIMUM 30k proposal ring for his gf, it's a terrible sin. ![]()

In the first place why drag religion in relation to frugality?
I am not sure....maybe related to temptation or chasing material satisfaction.....maybe is not good for emotional balance.
Seems like most religions tell you to be frugal.....
Except for a few "newer" modifications or interpretation.
