ok...
1. When you buy jeans, like Levi's, after u try it on u walk outta fitting room with the pair of jeans, the sales assistant will measure for u so can do alteration. Then i wonder do they account for shrinkage or not? Coz i think after washing the jeans it'd shrink i suppose?
Then if the SA measure just nice for alteration, then after washing, it'd shrink a bit, then the jeans will be like a little bit short?
so u guys when u buy jeans n got measured for alteration, do u ask the SA whether will shrink or not? If she/he say will shrink, then the alteration length have to give allowance right?
2. For the proper jeans length, means when u sit down, the jeans cuff will still be covering your ankles right? Therefore your socks can't be seen. (eg. if wearing converse shoes)
Or u guys alter it in such a way that when u sit down, your socks get exposed a bit? if exposed socks means not nice liao?
If alter it longer, when u sit down your socks won't be seen. but then if its long, sometimes when u walk u will tend to step on the back of ur jeans cuff. Esp. if u wear diff footwear, eg. when u wear sneakers its OK, but when wear slippers the jeans cuff always kenna stepped on.
If alter it shorter, it'd solve the problem of stepping on ur jeans cuff, but then if its short, when u sit down ur socks will kenna exposed.
Therefore its important to get the length right, but sometimes this is quite hard. U guys ever experienced the above? (eg. jeans too long n cause u to step on it, or too short until exposed ur socks)
3. u guys ever buy jeans but never do alteration? (for some reasons, like shop don;t provide alteration, or free alteration but it takes 2 or 3 weeks, or u lazy to come back collect ur jeans)
Then if wear jeans folded up, will look sloppy or bad fashion sense? do u do that?
How about use scissors cut the jeans n make the edges frayed, for a rugged look? is it ok? or look sloppy? do u do that?
4. nowadays fashionable jeans is those with a scrubbed look or with some streaks? kinda like 2 toned color look. pic -
means those single colored jeans out of fashion already right?
thought it's the length expand then waist shrink?
why you care so much what other people think
you like then can already
hmmm if u want to really go into jeans then dont wash them. let them fade on their own through wearing and the creases. then you will have really nice lines on your jeans. only wash them maybe after like 3 months or longer .but of course sunshine them and air them. if not....smelly hahahah. im not really good at it la..but yeah just my 2 cents. i have friends that are really into it (: currently im letting one of my levi's 501 fade. (:
According to "Dis Fashen",
It is trendy to wear very shrunken jeans that are bright yellow, red or green in color, coupled with tight fitting striped t-shirt and stupid looking caps.
