Okay, actually I also have my reservations about being too closely associated with "China" as well. The SAF is about Singapore, about the Singaporean identity, not about some Chinese medieval army. Thats completely bullshet since Chinese in Singapore had no such heritage at all. We were all bloody coolies that the British saw as a potentially volatile people group whom they refused to give any form of military training.
