  dun smoke near the window la. why must everything in singapore be governed by a law? :/

  the solution depends on the neighbours' conscience lo. whether they give a damn abt other pple in their community. if they understand parents' worry for their kids' health, then they wld be ok with smoking further inside the house, maybe in the living rm or smth, so tt the smoke won't rise up to the flat above.

  Reality.

  Can try reasoning with them . It won't work, because they are within their rights. If it work, it would only be temporary, then it would be back to square one.

  There is nothing the authorities can do, except the above, reason with them, with the same result.

  What can be done is to get a air circulator. Place it at the window (the smoke side) and blow the air away, out of the house. This way it works as a ventilator, drawing air out of the house. Find the position most effective in preventing smoke from drifting in.

  Complain that you smell funny smoke coming from their place.  What if they are taking drugs like "Chasing the dragon" or something there?

  You have to make sure those guys know you are uncomfortable with their smoking. If they continue, just call piece.
