Dont use BT........BT is outdated method.....
Use download from website.
Thing with BT is that....it takes a much longer time, and u have to keep running the BT program on the background, be real patient.
Download from mediafire, megaupload, easy-share, and so on. The speed is better, although the problem is that u have to re-click each part.
No, I don't think you can really find much useful stuff from direct downloads. BT is where you find them.
Regarding IsoHunt, it doesn't load from my side either - I'm a Singnet user here. But when I tunnelled through a US Socks5 proxy, the site works. It's either our ISPs are blocking the site, or the site is blocking us.
im using starhub but i can access isohunt eh..
and yes starhub sux
starhub really gotta upgrade their servers..
rubbish la
direct dnld update so slow
where got outdated
imagine how long u have to wait and find for new episodes of heroes
why not try mininova.org

Nope, I'm a singnet user and I can access it.
Nowadays, I seldom torrent. Direct Download is way better.

Direct download is so yesterday
It's working for me now, but the site is bloody slow and takes forever to load. In the meantime, you may want to take a look at The Pirate Bay or Mininova instead.

Suspecting that it's starhub's doing, I tried using https and it worked!
Seriously, at any rate, I feel...disturbed and annoyed. I tried to access the http version using yellowmask but yellowmask went down(double whammy). SO i used another proxy service.
Well it friggin worked, the http version. So it's only a matter of time before the https version goes down for me too.
So can anyone out there on Starhub Maxonline Plans please confirm with me? Thanks a bunch.
(Btw Starhub has just lost one of their decade long customers. New subscribers - read: BT throttling)
Yes, please complain and lodge a police report to the police that StarHub is restricting your rights from accessing the IsoHunt webpage so that the police can investigate further. ![]()

So maybe IH is capping the traffic for certain IP ranges - I'm not too sure about this, but I don't use IH anyway. TPB and Demonoid is where I usually look for torrents.
And no, I would disagree with you that direct downloads are better. From my experience, DDs, especially those hosted privately, are more likely to be packed with malware, because file hosting ain't free, and they need to recover that cost from somewhere. I don't wish to go on explaining how malware creators earn their livings, but you get what I'm trying to say.
On the other hand, files distributed via torrents cost virtually nothing for the creator since it's P2P. All he has to do is to upload (seed) the files until there are enough seeders for the torrent to survive on its own. This is why using torrents for file distribution is much more popular among uploaders, and consequently downloaders, as compared to providing DDs.
