Do you own a blog? Ever experienced Slow Traffic? Sick of the mere 40-50 friends who read your blog everyday?
Well, I'm not the best blogger around but I do know of a few ways to kickstart your blog traffic.
Here are a few tactics,that once tried, allow your blog to have over 700 daily views! Not too bad for a beginner. Can serve ads already.
1)If you want more readers... Advertise, shamelessly...
-It will be good if u have hundreds or thousands of friends on facebook/friendster. I'm in the midst of adding to that kind of amount...
-If you havent have so many friends yet, you can always do what I do.
-Post on various online communities,prefarably on those with high traffic.
-Communites I post on : Stomp's Talkback, HardwareZone.sg's EDMW & Current Affairs Zone,Sg Forums,Sg Club
-I'm conquering every new forum I can find. And make sure forum goers can link your blog from your posts/profile. It's illegal in some forums.
-Join Blogger communities like Ping.sg
2) You gotta blog/post about things that people are interested in.
I dont exactly know which topics are the mosr-read.(Sex? Gossip?) Just keep trying....
3) the 3rd thing im trying to do now, is to leave comments on Blogs with higher traffic then mine, and hopefully draw some of their traffic to my site.Who knows, maybe u left such an impression on the blogger he/she might link you up.
4)Flaming popular bloggers helps too.
Yes kickstarting a blog requires some work. But you can always do it the easier way. Make a blog post on a topic. And then copy and paste it to the various forums quickly.
Paricipate a bit in the forums. If your threads are hot, more people are likely to click on the link to your blog, thus increasing your blog traffic.
