if you don't celebrate, just go back to work or normal life.
Perhaps you get a few good movies on the tube else you just have a good sleep.
just as I don't celebrate a haji or any other holidays, I just respect that our government made it such that all major religions have at least two days of public holiday in a calendar. And take a rest..
now so unhappy about economic recession..
xmas is an excuse for them to party..forget about the worries temporarily..little gifts, with the hope, to cheer ppl up..

I believe Christmas is usually celebrated as a whole, in the sense that people gather together, even strangers(in europe i believe), to celebrate christmas, as its their religion's god birthday.
Much like when a theres a Buddha birthday, tents were set up beside HDB estates and celebrations were made together.
However, CNY is celebrated within families and friends, when everyone in the family returns home to their parents house(in chinese we call it "hui niang jia") to celebrate the event. Hence, CNY is infact, celebrated indoors, inside our house. Thats why you find that CNY is "hardly celebrated".
jesus christ ? i only heard of johnny christ ![]()
I celebrate christmas because I want to get the presents![]()
It is the time of the year when people are the most hypocritic. They only care about Jesus during Christmas but don't care a shit about Jesus for the rest of the year.People here are very selfish. They only care about themselves. They don't care about the poor starving people in Africa as 18,000 children starve to death everyday.

if LKY had the same mentality as you back then, i think we would still be living in kampung houses built on stilts ![]()
besides i think it's just your opinion that people get over-hyped during Christmas as compared to the other festive seasons. i don't remember seeing any countdowns like the ones they have on New Year Eve & CNY ![]()
anyway cheer up! treat this day like any other holiday and take time off to meet your loved ones or friends or simply just spending time with your family!
banglas celebrate xmas because can molest girls on orchard road.
Christmas celebration has become year-end celebration, basically.
That is why non-Christans, like you said, celebrate, decorate, etc, malls play Christmas music, the sales people wear red santa hats, and so on.....
There are some Christians who celebrate the religious aspect, but for the non-Christians, this is just basically a year-end festivities.

haha. we christians are very inclusive in our celebrations. =)
it's a season of hope and joy, and we don't wish to keep it just for ourselves, but spread the same hope and joy around, esp for those who need it more.. =)
I like Christmas 'cos got year-end sale...that's it....
xmas is to celebrate jesus or whosoever birthday rite?if ppl uses xmas as a gateway to slack or wat then ok la..but i am sure there will ppl who have their own religion but still so gian to celebrate other ppl's god birthday..which i really despise lo..just like there will also be chinese who don't celebrate CNY but onli celebrate xmas or eleborate more on xmas..they really dunno their what their skin color is lo...
and i really dont like church ppl who give me paper and tell me things in the bible..i seriously don't give a damn..this is not the way to psycho ppl into believing in the "lord" lo...no offence
christmas or the like is also vital for our economy la...
all the sales...if singaporeans dun spend, wot will happen to our economy??
i always wonder why they put trees in their home and decorate em...
i joked with my cousin once that maybe a long time ago, santa would put presents under a tree in a village...then one day some of the presents got stolen by some assholes...thats when the villages decided to cut a tree and put em right in their house so that no one can steal their share of the presents...lol
only way to sell turkeys.....
