Guys I'm currently serving NS, have another 1.5 years to go but atm I feel like taking up a T-shirt design course in either Lasalle or NAFA but neither of the websites ive visited have provided much info.
Thus I've decided to ask the community if anyone has any general idea on what might be best or give some constructive comments.
Thanks :]
culture abit different even though both are art schools.
Go down to both the open houses and check them out?
and what is T-shirt design course??
i never hear before. dont expect ur studies to be very specialised, during my time u learn everything else. ![]()
hmm ts mean fashion design??
also, PT or FT?
fashion design is ALOT more than drawing on a t-shirt template.
nah, im just hoping to maybe perhaps set up a t-shirt shop next time. id like to learn where i can pick up suitable skills (eg adobe photoshop)
i cant seem to find the discipline to study it from the book by myself :(

the thing is there is alot of cross discipline stuff at least during my time. I heard they abolished the foundation year already but still u need to expect learning alot of other stuff.
difficult to explain, but alot of people end up doing stuff they did not major in. ![]()
Again, PT or FT?
illustrator will do.. although its fine for u to learn photoshop too.. don't waste money on such courses... there are tons of tutorial online and for basic skills u can learn through the help section its pretty useful too.
any such links that you've found useful?
and, PT, because im currently serving NS. its the best time to do what you want.

If its PT then i reccomend u check out what they teach, and decide whether u wanna sign on.
Because its not cheap.
The culture will not matter much to u then since its all night classes and PT courses are usually working adults who are sponsored by their companies. If u have extra cash to burn, give it a go why not.
But check what they offer first. Like tripsky said, some skills can be picked up by urself.
i worked with students and teachers from both institutions before
those from NAFA are more down to earth
those form lasalle is more "one of a kind" feeling
There is no such course like tshirt design course (locally).
I think graphic design is the one you want. That falls under Communication Design.
You are not into making clothes right? Sewing all these. That is fashion design. You are into designing the graphics of a tshirt, you need to learn softwares such as Photoshop., Illustrator, etc. The design part only. No sewing. lol
Check out the modules before enrolling. =)
