What good jobs can I get if I have am a mechanicl engineer?

  Just curious. What do mechanical engineers do for a living?

  They do alot of things, but their work always goes unappreciated, like mine for instance.

  i have no idea why i'm studying mechanical engineering. but oh what the heck.
  
  my family, 3 brothers. all mechanical engineering. i'm the last. but my brothers are doing very different jobs.

  Yes, I am thinking of switching over to the teaching line, at least the working hours are more "humane".

  someone in my family is on an oil rig. never knew there were openings for mechanical engineers till he joined - all this while, the usual suspects were chemical engineers.

  Well you have all those heavy machinery

  They need electrical engineers too

  The shipping industry need a lot of mechanical engineers and the aircraft industry needs mechanical engineers too

  humane? have u included CCAs, planning for outside-teaching stuff, organising events & all......

  I was thinking more on the lines of becoming a poly lecturer. But I found something that pays better, hence I kinda forgot about it.
