hi all,
see this picture here: http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/7523/pvcpenbagpvcpencilbagpvny0.jpg
if i use do iron-on heat transfer onto this kind of PVC material, will it melt?
iron-on heat transfer is those whereby you print your computer graphics onto transfer paper, then use an iron to heat-press the transfer paper onto the media.
when the transfer paper is peeled off, the image is on the media (usually t-shirts).
thanks.
Yes it will melt, please don't do iron on transfers to PVC material, ever!
Industry standard is either embossed or printed, thats why you always see the art peeling off when it gets really old.![]()
if u try, pls dont use your mum's iron...
PVC can only take temperature between 50 ~ 100 deg C depending on its grade and thickness.
IF iron on PVC material, the material will melt and stick on the iron and it is rather difficult to remove. Then u can change a new iron.

direct using iron to transfer NO
but there is some material, which you can put in-between iron & PVC
the picture can then be transfer
almost same theory as iron silk
