Where can I try betel chewing?

  I saw in The Little Nyonya that Lin Mei Jiao chew and chew like very shiok.  Where can I get this ah?  Feel like trying.

  Melaka? could be other places like India and Nepal also use it..

  its super bitter..leaves a stain in ur teeth for a week..makes ur breath smell bad that not even 5 tubes of the strongest mentos can help...u will get intoxicated after a few minutes of munching..then, it gets addictive..

  one of the reasons i heard was to prevent the nyonyas from being too attractive and prevent "rape" coz the smell would repel would-be attackers..
