Around one week ago, i saw a rather large sized golden retriever strolling around the area outside seletar camp, while waiting for bus at the bustop. Apparently the owner was nowhere to be seen, and after some time a lady eventually escorted the dog into the camp, assumably to look for someone to take care of it and report loss rather than allowing it to roam aimlessly along the roads which could be quite dangerous.
Few days later, i found out that my neighbours, a group of malaysian girls who rented a flat at my block at Fernvale, apparently brought the dog back to their apartment to take care of it. According to what i've heard, they have reported the case to police and they are waiting for the owner or people who are willing to adopt the dog to approach them, while taking care of it.
Is that the right way to handle such a case? Just curious and like to hear your views.
Right, let the police take care of missing dogs. Damn right way to handle it alright.![]()
Now you know where the resources goes to...
Isn't a retriever too large for a hdb flat?![]()

It is, which is why it's leashed outside the flat half the time, and when it lie down it blocks 90% of the corridor walkway.
Good thing is that it's quite well behaved.

Chocolates are toxic for dogs.
I see after so many years you still like to make chocolate jokes. It is not funny. It can really harm a dog. Please stop it.

Ask the retriever to go retrieve Mas Selamat! At least put it to some good use.
hmm why large dogs not allowed in hdb? chaining a dog outside isn't a solution either
