back to the topic , does anyhow one know the school fees of private school such as SIM or MDIS ? or some information regarding it , please post it , thanks in advance .
Pls wake up. You are not a sec 4 student anymore.
its best that you go ITE first, study hard and obtain a cert as most pte sch needs either a gd O level or ITE cert..
I'm now also studying in a pte sch & I've used my ITE certs to apply..
if you don't wish to study then its better you do your NS 1st, get it over & done with..
different courses have different fees. Best is you go to their websites to check. If you want to take a course in private schools, make sure what you want to take is recognised here in Singapore.
i need at least 4 passes to get into a private school o.o ?

i dont think so ba..
Dear i flunk my exam ._.,
You can consider yourself going into a Private school
but before entering.. you also have to pass their entrance test..
What are you intrested in?(Yes mdis/sim is recongnised)
Check up both of their website. and i am sure they will get back to you.

siao eh, it's true that the last month before O level is to cheong revising with the 10 yr series book but it is impossible to do so without fundamental understanding of the subject
i had also barely cleared my O levels during my time
i doubt you can go into sim but probably mdis but then again, it depends on what course are you applying
in reality, the options that i see that are available for you is ite or army
you can choose to resit your O levels during your studying in ite too
you need at least a few thousands if you're refering to diploma from these private schs
good luck
MDIS - 7k+ a year for O level course.
erm ? what do u mean by ''MDIS - 7k+ a year for O level course.''
for 1 yr O Level course in MDIS, u pay 7k or more a yr.

ai ya, in simple words:
roughly 7k.
7k... that's like 583 bucks a month! ![]()
Might as well go sign up in a tuition centre....
7k is siao..
6k+ for diploma
7k for o level
pte sch, no govt subsidy 1.
Pte School - not only no govt subsidy but the pte sch wants to make a profit too.
So, school fees at all pte schs are very expensive.
Given your result - 2 A1's ie A1 in CL2 and Maths, you should enrol in ITE to learn a skill AND at the same time re-do the O Level as a private candidate ie re-take English, a Science subject eg Physics or Chemistry or combined science and another subject eg History, SS, Geography, POA, Art or Music.
The objective is to do well in these 3 subjects and combined with the 2 A1s that you already gotten, you will be able to apply for some very good courses in polytechnic next year.
The advantages of studying at ITE are
1. pay very low school fee ie approx $20-$30 PER MONTH
2. can ask ITE lecturers for help in the O Level subjects that you are re-taking
3. can get NS deferment if you are due for NS
4. can get bus/MRT concession
5. can learn a vocational skill
In addition, even if you pay $7000 to study in MDIS, MDIS will not guarantee that you will pass in your O level exam.
BTW, pte schools have a very low passing rate ie L1R4 that is < = 20 points in O level exam. No one pte school has advertised the number of their students that have L1R4 that is < = 20 points in O level exam ie the percentage of students that have L1R4 that is < = 20 points in O level exam is very low.
I think Lee012lee had broken down into minute details on the practical advantages for TS to opt for an ITE education-cum-redo O levels.
Good one!
so even if i go into a private school i still have to redo my ''o'' level ? @@
Anyone from NAFA?
