Hey .. the topic of Singapore going to be part of china is not possible in the first place . There is no link between this 2 countries at the start unless you live in the times where china thinks they own the world.Singapore got a track record of achieving independence. Why going with the odds , my say of singapore achieving indepence far out weights your acceptance of china swallowing singapore up .

The situation with increasing trade, contacts, investments, tourism, migration, and also ethnic similarity, does not mean it will lead to a merger.
It is already proven and is being proven now in the world.
Is Canada part of Britain...?
Canada is not part of Britain, but they do have close contacts, trade, etc.
Is Malaysia part of Indonesia?
Is Brazil part of Portugal..?
Just because there is ethnic similarity and intensive links, it does not mean a country's sovereignty is compromised.
