To all:
My friend's father has lost his medical report (He is a Malaysian). The doctor says his father has roughly 2 months to live without treatment. So roughly, he is in what stage of lung cancer? Thanks in advance. If this is the wrong forum, Please move it to the correct forum.

Stage 0
Carcinoma in situ (early cancer that is present only in the layer of cells in which it began).
Stage I, Stage II, and Stage III
Higher numbers indicate more extensive disease: greater tumor size, and/or spread of the cancer to nearby lymph nodes and/or organs adjacent to the primary tumor.
Stage IV
The cancer has spread to another organ.
if he has only a few mths left.. means it's probably the 4th stage, where the cancer has spread to another organ.
he prolly reached stage 4 a few mths ago alr.
so... do you guys think its worth it to attempt treatment or its a hopeless cause? i.e. treat also no point. Will just prolong his dad suffering?

well..
from my experience with cancer.. my aunt passed away, while my mentor's mother in law is still alive, even when the doctor diagnosed her to live for only a few more months.
It's hard to say, I've seen paitent who were told they had 1 month to live but end up surviving for few years... some longer, some shorter...
But the reality is actually the hospital treatment and bill... Not say I'm cold blooded or anything but I've seen quite alot of actual cases of paitent instead of staying 1 month become stay for 3-4 months... the hospital treatment and bills became quite a shockingly big amount..
What I'm trying to say is that plz be mentally and financially prepared if this drags on...
