You might be poor in Singapore, but you surely are richer than in a lot of other countries. The poorest 1% in France, for example, are poorer than the poorest 1% in Singapore. How's that? Aren't you proud of your country now? ![]()
Im happy if I'm just able to meet the financial obligations and once in awhile get to enjoy a bit of luxury.. I don't think it is that hard to achieve here in SG right? Or is it? =(
Typical Singaporian attitude is cannot be poor but happy.
It's all a state of mind. You need to stop trying to fill your life with Coach bags and Gucci sunglasses. Real happiness is enjoying time with the ones you love and doing things you enjoy not buying possessions and trying to have more than those around you.
The sooner you realise this the sooner you can enjoy your life.
As AJ says, it's all relative anyway. :)
