Help me : (
im international student from korea and i currently attend Diploma couse in private school. when I adimt this school, they let me pay tuition fees for both diploma and advance diploma course(SGD$18k).and ive attended school for two months but i need to go back because of parent's financial problem that they can't support me anymore and of course i tried to ask my house owner to adjust rental fee but it refused. so there is no way to stay here. so i went school and tell my situation to school officer and ask for the refund . but she said i need to right a letter and i need to wait 3months for the reply and after three months even they don't know can refund or not. and she said if i can get refund, it would be thousands.
actually i don't know how to do now. in korea if i have private problem, they should understand it and refund it in clear amount of refund like half of tuition fee or what % of tuition fee.
just i want to know about singapore law
and can i get refund??
and only the way i need to wait 3months? if after 3months they refuse my refund,
then how can i do???
is there has any way to refund back??

its not with the Singapore Law.. its the student contract you sign...
i think you better finish the course... doing a refund will make you look stupid as you can get a better job with education.. + u will end up losing money and have to pay again at full amount for the course again

yes. I paid two courses upfront..
but it is the normal procedure mah..
even if it is private deg course locally..they already stated in their clause that school fees will not be refunded..
at most, they can only refund u within the 1st few weeks before school starts etc..even if that's the case, they won't refund u 100% of the amount that u pay..perhaps is only 30% or 50% like that..
The private school will be very reluctant to refund any money to you.
You will need to talk to people in CASETRUST and small claims tribunal to get any
refund.
