as compared to those who studied overseas..thats very true, isnt it?
also the reason why they make less informed decisions on investments and bring about losses.
as opposed to someone who stayed in a overseas uni for years, he/she might know of such things happening in that country as compared to singapore...
which self respecting elite would study in singapore?
not really what, just a matter of how ignorant they are
i think u are the one tt don't know much about............................. anything. ![]()
i think not only them, generally s'poreans a vulnerable to get cheated when they step out of s'pore..
ya ya ya

1 simple counter example is the CEO of somewhere, EE grad from Stanford University, lost on overseas investment (yeah, paper loss)
Another counter example is someone called Adam, who supposedly invest a lot in US stocks, and was schooled only in Singapore.
And also, it depends on the location you invest...
i am not joking, when u go to a different country to study, u get to analyse your own country's situation and compare..
like eg. give u an example, u stay in s'pore, u only know about apples, maybe lots about apples
when u went overseas , u get to learn another fruit which is oranges, now u do the comparison, u are better off than u know only apples, no matte ho w much u know about apples...
diversity is the key.
btw which chao bugger move this thread here?
bravo
And also, you failed to recognize the numerous overseas opportunities in NUS.
Making a statement as general as yours only shows **** about you. Fill in the blanks.

but i think this person is a local grad, not overseas..
Overseas grad is one fine example: our late president Ong Teng Cheong , graduated from Adelaide Uni.
Ho Ching holds a master degree from Stanford Uni
Then dun hire them la....
because the overload of study, they really have no time to learn the survival capability. Choosing engineering, is choosing, one way ticket to hell.

u laugh for what? i have heard many local uni grad negative reviews about them from their sub ordinates
What does the OP know about being worldly, having demonstrated anything but worldliness in his/her posts?
boring, i remember there is saying about PHD, permanent head damage, engineering is too far away from life. You learn engineering, you cannot talk about it with ladies.
And i feel the lecturer in NTU, some of them , when giving lecture, they are sweating, some already lose the function of chating,
With all the money in the world, they will not be happy,
There do have some brilliant lecturer, but cannot ignore those "bore you to death" killers.
Some people are not good at engineering, they are attracted by the money there, they want a steady job, if you are not the material , don't do it.
I once work for a company, when i was do the wiring for the machine, i saw the sales, dress suit, drinking coffee, chatting,
i realize, the money is not good enough, see those sales, talking here and there, making good money,
above all the factor, the most important, thing is engineeing, refrain your thought.
You engineer, don't think engineering make the world more beautifull, you also build weapon, there is where the most advance technology goes.
stupid ppl is stupid ppl.. you can change your location you are still stupid..
Can't believe you're judging university graduates by their ability to make investment decisions.
