You know that what the housefly sees, is not what the human sees. You know that what the bat sees is not what the housefly see.
If the housefly and the bat can think, it would think that the world is like that, what they "see".
So why should humans not doubt that what humans see is not what reality is?
i doubted b4...
i tot that.. if human are all special from one another.. as in different...
then the green i see may be the red u see...
however.. the green i see will nv change from the red u see... it is always the same..
so it doesnt really matter.. and if wat we see is not reality, then i am the illusion also.. and since i am the illusion.. then i should belong to the illusion world.. right?
and so.. it doesnt really matters.. cuz i tried thinking of this for like whole day and wat i got is confusion..
haha

Truth and reality are relative; there are many layers to what's real and what's not.
Right what you see as red will always be red unless you suffer from color blindness suddenly. That is your reality. That is what is real to you, for that is obviously not the reality to the housefly or the bat, in my example.
That is not what I am trying to ask. If reality depends on "your reality" and "my reality" or "human reality" and "animal reality", is there a "better reality" or "more accurate reality"?
Is there even a reality out there?
i mean i am giving examples..
cuz when i was young.. i was told that every human is different.. then i just thought that..
IF.. my red is ur green.. then wat we see would be different..
similarly with ur thought.. is there a more accurate reality..
btw very interesting this topic..
i mean do u get wat i mean? lol..
u are using animals to compare.. i using human individuals to compare.. which is not at all accurate..

I know what you are trying to say... that my green is your red and your yellow is my blue.
That is "not possible" (unless you are colour blind) or your brain is different from my brain. Otherwise, if your brain is a normal human brain, then, when certain spectrum of light hits your eyes, you and every normal human brain will interpret it similarly, red or blue.
If someone says, please go to my car and take out my handphone for me, it is a red car. You will not go and look for a yellow car, that is to say, you will not go and look for a car reflecting a spectrum of light that to everyone is "yellow".
But of course if the whole world decides to call RED, BLUE and BLUE, GREEN, nothing would have changed in the physical world. That is why colours are known as "qualia", something that exists only in people's mind.
Yet you and I talk about colours as if they exist by themselves. How many things do people assume exists in reality when it exists only in people's mind?
It is a scary thought.

if you say housefly in hokkien, it translate as Rain God/ God of Rain
Does that mean in areas where there are alot of houseflies will have more rain?
But if you watch all those africa documentaries where the houseflies are eating the african children, the area have no rain.
Does that mean the God of Rain is a racist and hate africans?
it is truely mind boggling

Circular logic. What is real. Real according to you? Real according to humans? Real according to the most powerful? How do you determine what is real?

Your attitude is why some people remain stupid their whole life. They might be financially successful even, but will always remain stupid with an attitude like that.

It is the journey, not the destination, the journey is the destination!
The questioning and not the answer, is the answer!

Just because it sounds like/ translate into "Rain God/ God of Rain" does not mean that it is "Rain God/ God of Rain" in reality... what you have pointed out, that "where the houseflies are eating the african children, the area have no rain" shows that the indeed the evidence shows that "Just because it sounds like/ translate into "Rain God/ God of Rain" does not mean that it is "Rain God/ God of Rain" in reality..."

That is exactly my point,
in your reality, housefly in hokkien sounds like/translate to rain god/ god of rain is a coincidence
but in my reality, houseflies are rain gods/gods of rain who are racists and hate africans

Fixed.

That is one of the points for the thread isn't it? To asl whether there is, or there isn't a "preferable reality", a "better reality".
Is "houseflies are rain gods/gods of rain who are racists and hate africans" reality? How do you judge? How does the person that thinks "houseflies are rain gods/gods of rain who are racists and hate africans" to know whether he/she is insane or super sane? How does he/she determine whether "houseflies are rain gods/gods of rain who are racists and hate africans" is reality or not?
Is it acceptable to say, "That is my reality and everyone else can f-off if they do not agree with me". If that is acceptable, there are no mad people in this world.

ah... prayer and worship..... actions in line with reality or more in line with hope and wishes closer to delusions?
How is it that people find comfort in prayer and worship, to the point that they are willing to give away their money for some vague unproven "rewards"?
