Hi I don't know if this should go under IT.
Our tv just died out, after 12 years, good old TLC huge-arse machine. So i'm supposed to get us a new tv. I guess we'll have to finally buy a flat panel. Given that my Sony Blue-ray dvd player doesn't have volume control (i guess we can't have everything today) and it responds like an old lady, I am not keen on Sony..
Does anyone have experience on what new flat-panel tvs are good? Or anyone who knows anyone in the technical repair industry? Which brands of tvs have the most/least problems?
Are flat panels made to last? Or are they just cheaply fused together made to last for 2 years like everything else these days?
We're in recession, i guess i should wait for prices to drop uber low, but i'm not sure what is low these days for a tv..
Thanks guys.
I will recommend you Plasma TV from Pioneer. ![]()
