The reason I buy the stocks of Thai public listed companies is because of this. The chances of fraud is less. If the company does not do well, and its stock prices falls, it is usually "market conditions".
No way the fraud you see sometimes in the Singapore public listed companies.
This Madoff chap - in Thailand, will sooner have a bullet in between his eyes before he can say, "I plea guilty"
If you are not out to cheat anyone in Thailand, you are safe because as you can see in the recent case involving the Singaporean, the Thai police are very good at their jobs if they want to do it.
Unless you really made someone really really mad, they will leave you alone because the police will get them as well.
