Hello...
I'm trying to dismantle large table so I can move it to my bedroom. The table is too wide to fit into the corridor upstairs.
The table is held together by two kinds of screws. The normal kind I've managed to remove, but I'm encountering epic difficulty in removing the following (I've already broken two pliers in the process :p).
If you look at the last picture, I think you can see where the difficulty lies. =X I don't think I'm supposed to be using a plier, but I've no idea what I can use.

/me face palms at the plier idea...
Go find urself a titanium thick ruler ar. That houls do it. LOL!

Aiyah, use whatever I can find mah. ![]()
Titanium thick ruler? How should I use the ruler? =X
lol.. i dunno. I never DIY'd such a table before. come to think of it.. i only recently DIY'd my table... but its hell not as complicated as yours.
it looks like a philips kinda screw driver thing.. shaped like that but way bigger.
what in the toot is that man. hahaha
never seen anything like that LOL!
try using the flat head screwdriver to unscrew the screw in the nylon block... i think this joint is for securing L-shaped joints is it?
use the GS.
instead of slotting from the top, try the side
What's a GS? and a L-shaped joint?
unker nick taught me the method wonderpig mentioned. It works, but for some reason the screw isn't coming loose. And one of the edges is now bent and maybe it's going to break off soon. =x
Maybe i should screw back everything and get a new table or something.
GS is just a flat tip screwdriver
your screw is white.
drop some oil, don't use WD40.
I'm not going to touch it anymore. I think I damaged the screw already, so before it breaks apart, I better screw back that one screw I managed to remove and restore the table to its original state. ![]()
throw away the table
I wanted the table cos it's really sturdy and big... =|
It turned out I was turning the screw in the wrong direction. ![]()
I'm so screwed.
erm if it's broken then don't use. looks like it's a heavey table and if there's a chance it will just break down while some one is sitting at it.........
try using a large flathead screwdriver.
else try a allen key since its angled.
Power, can break pliers..*Really dun understand how to do it/....lol
See screws only, i will same same as another forumer> use think metal rules or piece of metal to let it rest on the "ditch " of screws/bolts and turn..
But from your last pic, get a angle ratched with socket can liao as its inside that "hole". cost like less then $10...
Whether do u think is worth to spend this $ to get this screw/bolt out is up to u.
you need an angled screwdriver
Can close thread liao..
