Why...??
Btw I am not sure whether ghosts exist or not.
But really, there are research being done to debunk "Oujia Board". Basically the finger movements are being done subconsciously by humans themselves by self-suggestion.
So unless if the pointer move by itself, a human finger moving it and telling u things, is just basically you telling yourself things.
:D
for your info, cemetries are known not to be haunted... i was staying in Potong Pasir when i was younger and i studied in Maris Stella High, within 3 cemetries. i used to walk from home to school and back home through the Christian cemetry. earliest was 6 am and latest was 10 pm and you don't get the creepy feeling compared to places known to be haunted.

Oujia Board is a hoax to cheat kids.

Unless if you tell me the pointer move by itself, then I got nothing to say.
:D
ur a sceptic..as much as i try to relate my experiences, u will still be a sceptic..somethings, u will have to experience..
i guess u dun believe in amulets or toyols either..

I am actually a believer of "something"
But I am not sure if we can properly separate what is real, and what is "we want to believe is real"
For instance, I have seen a YouTube video of a pointer which move by itself.
Actually in this case, a Keris which move by itself.
I am not sure how it moves, although it can be some electro-magnetic power or something else (because this person is a martial artist).
So I do believe for this case, there is "something" which need to be further investigated.
But a human finger moving the pointer is mostly self-suggestion.

like i said...even if i vomit blood trying to tell u that the pointer was moving on its own accord, u'll still be skeptical..
Sometimes, i dun believe what youtube or other media because i believe in what i see for myself..
My team will be going to Pulau Ubin's old kampung for some visual and sound recording..feel free to come
I believe TS because few years back, one of my boys got possessed in Pulau Ubin. Another hotspot. Initially i used to be like Meat Pao, until that day i realised they actually exist.
I heard MacRitchie/Upper Pearce area also might be haunted by onryo.
Master...can you help me to do something...
Can you do this for your next session....when you are doing Ouijia...
Let's say you....or your friend is doing Ouijia....
Can another person stop it for a bit, blindfold that person, then turn the Ouijia Board 180 degree. Then resume again...
Usually, the person will still point to "yes" "no" like what he thought the board layout was....and he will spell gibberish due to the changed layout too....
So that means it is not really a "spirit" guiding him, but his own self-suggestion.
Try it for the next session with your friends...and see whether it is true or not....just for experimentation.....
Here is the YouTube video of the martial artist I mentioned....I more believe in these kinds of things...

when i was communicating with her, i was alone...my friend was around only to be a "catalyst" to lure any spirit available..Why would i be moving the pointer just for fun? Endorphin rush ah?
It's just like being in a wheelchair...u can push urself or being pushed right..
and..it was not my hand that moved..it was the pointer..just a small elevated cardboard moving and dragging my finger...the fact that i could see "her", makes it obvious that she's communicating with me..but wait, i cant prove to u that she can see me..zzz

Ohh...OK.....Im sorry....
I dont mean it as a personal attack....
But do you think you can lift your hand completely....so that there wont be human-motor interference....
Just experiment and see about it......
those who have seen spirits in real life, please come and share your experiences. we have a non-believer here.

the purpose of putting our finger or whatsoever on the pointer is to show them that we are sincere to communicate with them..it's kinda like a "personal" touch...might as well..conduct some rites...and summon a hantu tetek right
Hmm...I see....can you do this then...swing swing swing Oujia many times 180 degrees repeatedly....while you close your eyes.....then ask a question to the spirit which need a "yes" or "no" answer....then after your finger move, open your eyes....see whether the pointer lands on the "yes" or "no" section.....
If the pointer is landing on a random spot, that means it is not a spirit movement, but largely from human subconcious motor movement.

Police and ambulances were called to the scene after public and staff from the school reported that some students began acting strangely after they went out for a walk at the Park.
Apparently, ITE sent 100+ students for a course by Adam Khoo at Labrador Park chalet-style hotel and after the course, some students decided to go for a walk in the park. An hour plus later, they were seen creating a din and acting strangely, like jumping on tables and shouting. a boy who tried to help a fellow possessed student was seen by teachers and staffs being strangled by unknown forces as he approached his friend. teachers and staffs immediately called the police and the place was sealed off for investigation.
Presently, there are no indications of any missing students or fatalities. update only when source return from campsite.
are you sure or not ? ... I often see groups of teenagers behaving badly and making a nuisance of themselves at labrodor park ... maybe they were just fooling around ? ....
ever since they built a new car park and added a bus service there there place's gone to the pits .... it used to be such a nice and peaceful park ...

Next time there will be MRT going there too. But the behaviour of those kids was offensive, even to those who are alive. What about the (un)dead?

why are u involving probability now? wat's next? Game theory? Cournot? Nash?

er... as i've mentioned, i'm not going to put my reputation at stake here. i had a disclaimer somewhere in the one of the replies on this thread so if you wish to question the authencity, then it's okay with me. again, i have no 100% proof to say i'm telling the truth nor do you have 100% proof to say i'm lying.
end of reply.
Master, it is not related to probability.
It is by doing that, we can determine whether it is really a spirit guided movement, or a subconscious human-motor movement.
The way is to scramble the layout of the board, from our human perspective, then try to use it again. If it becomes "dysfunctional" and point to random spots and gibberish words, then that can confirm convinicingly that it is largely human-motor movement.
This is what the "debunk studies" say about Oujia Boards....that it is largely human subconscious movement. Once the Board is unknowingly turned, they point to random spots. Coz the human experimenters are still thinking of the same layout in their minds.
I think for you if you can conduct this test, this will be good, because it can further confirm your belief, or it can disconfirm it.

I'm not dissing you dude .....
I'm just trying to protect a very nostalgic piece of fishing spot for me ...
if that place gets a reputation of being very haunted .... then all the better for me ...
btw .... last time, when I organized freshmen orientation activities at the park in poly, things DID happen ...... the battlements is definitely "dirty" ... and the maze there, I had freshies come running and crying to me after seeing "things" before ......
so there ...

Apparently there is a secret tunnel to Sentosa from there isn't it? One episode of Triple 9 was also filmed there, if I am not mistaken.
well, now we have one "personal encounter". so who's going to tell his or her story next?

maybe i should make them a MSN account so we can MSN together..no more human motor whatever thing..
I go there late at night to fish every now and then ... and it definitely wasn't as peaceful and quiet as it was before the carpark was built .... lots of teenagers making a nuisance of themselves, blasting loud music from boom boxes till the wee hours, running and screaming all over the place .... when the MRT's built, I forsee it being turned into another east coast park ... I'll probably give up on the place by then ....
I'm not surprised if those sort of "things" would be pissed off by those sort of noisy, peace disturbing teenagers .... good lesson for them, I hope they stay away and learn to be considerate to others in the future ....
peace and quiet is so hard to find in Singapore nowadays ....
people who believe the existence of the supernatural will always be on their guard. they will not speak things in disrespect or words that will offend the "others". they will not deliberately kick or destroy offerings that are placed for the "others". they will try not to draw attention to themselves from "others" especially in the wee hours and show respect always...
in view of all these practices; do anyone disagree?

true... i also believe they must have irritated "something" by their actions or words.
I am not sure why you are not receptive to my suggestions....I think it will be interesting if you can do that....
Lots of "debunk studies" on Oujia is basically like this.....they conduct experiments where a practitioner is blindfolded, the Board is unknowingly turned 180 degrees, then the practitioner is asked some questions again.....then these people still point to the spot where they thought the previous "Yes" , "No" are still located, and words are gibberish....which proves that the movement is not guided by spirits, but from their own minds. Subconsciously of course. It is just self-suggestion.
