  can elaborate "after-effects" cos i am not sure i interpret correctly?   i interpret as those kind of software which you do effects and touch-ups and modifications,  so on that line,  I strongly recommend CorelDraw, which is not free but is full-fledged.  free-ones, and dummy-can-learn-one,  is Microsoft PhotoEditor

  i think u mean Adobe After Effects? if u want free.. look for torrent of it at ur own risk...

  and for tutorials.... juz google watever u wanna find out...
