Wah, that means poly grads need to take lor?
Can't be too hard right?
Most of the students at nus are non English speaking foreign students anyway.
From your post, I think it might do you good to go for the module.
From the title of your topic, I still thought 'qet' is a person's name and your lookin for him/her.

Yes, most of them.
It isn't that bad actually, because not doing well doesn't mean you don't get into NUS, just that you will have to take extra modules.

yes, so it actually helps you improve your english.
Try toning down your local discriminatory feelings (if you have them) and try making friends with some PRC students; most of them need to take this qualifying test and im sure they mug hard for it.
actually i'm a PRC students, and i've wasted my time having bridging course for half a year, judging from the bridging course ,i think the english module in nus is also a waste of time.i only want to know if the essay is always argurmentative or maybe literaryor sonething else.what the common topics are
Judging from your command of the language, Slayest1989, you will need to take the English modules.
QET essays are usually argumentative. You need to be able to express your opinion and substantiate your logical analyses clearly in English. You don't have to use very "flowery" language, you just have to be CLEAR.
The English supplementary modules are VERY helpful for freshmen who do not have a good command of the language. The tutors are often very willing to help with course work outside the supplementary module. That means, you can go to them for help with your work (particularly those pertaining to essays) and they will help you with it.
Don't treat QET as an examination. Its just to assess where you are, and what level of help you require. Though the extra modules take up more time, I think you will benefit from them overall.
hope so,lots of thanks for the information
