The former prasident of South Korea has comitted suicide. He died last satureday after he has jumped from 100 m high rock in the neighbourhood of his land-house. In his fare-well-letter he declared, that he has done to much harm to his people. He was accused of taking 4,3 million € from a busyness-man.

That is if he REALLY committed suicide.
There is always the chance someone used him as a scapegoat and killed him off.

I dislike the current pres... Lee Myung Bak(pronounced "Yee-Me-ong Bark". He is not sensitive to other religions' belief. Don't believe, check other sources.

Forgot to mention, his death would be a impediment to Inter-Korean relations...
He had a pro-unification-at-all-costs policy. The current Lee Myung Bak totally wiped that off the drawing board. Let us see the DPRK reaction to his death. Prolly would say it is a big loss to better ties...

I highly doubt they will care, since they are so busy testing nuclear missles. Hmm...I wonder who will be DPRK's first target.

Japan. And I wouldn't be surprised. Their nuke capabilites are not that good for their missiles to reach USA, and the North Koreans won't do anything to harm their people in the South... Regardless of what they say, they are still the same people. Even Kim Jong-Il acknowledges that, he even mentioned it before. Japan is the most obvious one...

I know... Also read on sg.yahoo.com's news and saw that Kim Jong Il actually sent condolences... And also mentioned that it was due to the current President Lee Myung Bak's political motivation that caused Roh to commit suicide. Well of coz he would say that, there is no denying that Kim was closer to Roh then to Lee...

the north korean did kill south koreans who are anti-commie isn't it...but i agree on the part where no rape and no pillage. normally rape is a by-product of war but north koreans make it a point no to rape their own women unlike the soviets...fyi, soviet troops raped their female compatriots liberated from german prison camps..

I feel quite sad when I hear this news.
I feel that no matter what happens in a person's life, one should not commit suicide, no matter what happens.
Suicides news make me sad.

It is interesting to note that suicides have even become a trend in SKorea... Where people set up fan clubs across the SKorea and meet up at a location to die together... Believe me, these things do happen... It has almost become a~... National pastime~...

It is sad that Roh committed suicide... What a pity... He was one of the few SKorean Presidents I ACTUALLY liked~...

another pastime of ROK is online gaming...i am quite sure that internationally korean gamers are some of the best...i also saw videos of some lan shops in ROK that even provide beds and meals...

suppose..ROK have full-time gamers in gaming leagues who earn more than our local football league players. Speaks a lot for the gaming level there.
