Which one sounds better for you or rather which one should it be.As a person with some Thai heritage I feel Siam sounds good to the heart but Thailand is now a modern country and needs to keep moving forward and never look back.

We call them Siamgaporeans.
Thailand is definitely a more recognisable name than Siam, especially among the younger generation. Besdies, there is no reason for Thailand to change their name back to Siam.

My grandparents were from the south,dad born in Yala
at that time people were happy calling themselves Siamese now they are not happy calling themselve Free People.
