just found this doc.
After serving 3 years in the IDF, these ppl get like $4300, they go to india and get stoned as hell.
Can you imagine if our NS boys got that kind of money???

Here, guys must starve a few months after NS looking for work. If they do get work.

But there is the fact that if you offer $4300 to any guys in SG just to serve an extra year of NS, most of them will turn it down, if not all.
I am interested in what does Israeli NSFs have to do though, given that 90% will turn to drugs after serving their NS.

The 4300 is not to serve an extra year, it is common, esp if they have been exposed to high risk situation. In Israel it's 3 years for every man, 2 years for every woman.

See it this way.....
How many of us would want to stay in the army for one more year in a high-risk environment with the very real possibility of dying for a $4300 payout?

I knew that. But what I mean is that if you ask SG guys to serve 3 years instead of 2 years with that carrot bait of $4.3k, a lot will complain to you and refuse it, even if the situation here is way more peaceful than that of Israel.
And of course, if you ask girls here to serve NS ......

One thing's definitely for sure, there they really are more patriotic than us, and strange thing is, in the doc, a lot of they guys say the liked their amry life...

Ok, it means after compulsory 3 years service, they get $4300 when they leave or ORD. Not bad at all. We get nothing here except for a 2 certs that say you completed 2yr NS and a testimonial.
i think some of them have PTSD, severe ones at that.

actually got a facebook group saying gals should do NS... and it's full of girls, guess they really want to prove to us they can do it???
dun mind if we start seeing these...

i dont see the rationale for girls to go for NS.
though we would have to see why did Israel made it compulsory for women to serve in the army

Cause need all the people they can get. Their enemies beleive women are useless, so they get 13-16 year olds oso....
